Master of Technology in Medical Electronics (M.Tech.Medical Electronics), is a two years postgraduate Medical Lab Technology degree level course of study in India. The study is designed to emphasize on the technical skills regarding the operation and repair of medical equipment used for the clinical environment such as Troubleshoot Equipment, Perform Repair, Consult with manufacturing and technical support to perform routine preventive maintenance on wide varieties of medical equipment.
Medical Electronic is a specialized field provides advanced & adequate knowledge in engineering & Medicine, with the integrates engineering, science, biomedical science and clinical practice. Study helps candidates to develops the capability to handle devices and procedures that for solving the medical problem related to the health, by combining their knowledge of biology and medical with engineering principles and practices.
After pursuing in this study program candidates are able to develop an undeveloped system and products such as Artificial Organs, that replace missing body parts, Instrumentation, Medical Information System, Healthcare Management, and Delivery System. Applied Mathematics for Electronics Engineering, Anatomy, and Physiology, Biosignal Processing, Biomedical Equipment, Biomedical Instrumentation, Medical Image Processing & Radiotherapy, Tissue Engineering, Principles of Genetic Analysis, Rehabilitation Engineering, Computer Based Medical Instrumentation, Advanced in Electronics Applied to Hospital Engineering, Human Assist Devices, Brain Control Interfaces, Biomechanics.
The candidate has to complete Bachelor Degree such as Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 60% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master’s degree study program.
This course requires study requires 2 years of time period in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning, study option to earn this degree.
