Master of Occupational Theraphy (MOT)

Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT), is a two years postgraduate Occupational Therapy health care professional degree course in India. The aim of the study program is to promote health by enabling individuals to perform meaningful and purposeful activities across the lifespan. Occupational therapists are health professionals that use treatments to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of their patients with a physical, mental or developmental condition.Under the supervision of occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants may contribute to the treatment process. Occupational therapy is a client-centered practice in which the client has an integral part in the therapeutic process. The master course is a combination of conventional and situation-based learning techniques. The program helps candidates to incorporate theory into occupational therapy practices, which prepare candidates in pragmatic models that employ unique data derive rules to guide clinical practices. The study prepares qualified candidates to become successful occupational therapy practitioners, have knowledge and skills for competent entry-level practice, professional leadership and promote health and well being helping people do occupational practices in various setting with people across the lifespan without a disability or illness. Eligibility

The candidate has to complete Bachelor Degree such as Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master’s degree study program.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

This course requires study requires 2 years of the time period in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning, study option to earn this degree.
