Diploma in Orthopedic Nursing - Diploma in Specialist Nursing (Orthopaedic Nursing) offers opportunities to registered general nurses to enhance their knowledge, experience and clinical expertise and technical skills necessary to function competently in their specialised clinical environment. This two year programme consists of theoretical instruction and clinical placements. Orthopaedic nursing (or orthopedic nursing) is a nursing specialty focused on the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Orthopaedic issues range from acute problems such as fractures or hospitalization for joint replacement to chronic systemic disorders such as loss of bone density or lupus erythematosus.
