Diploma Ophthalmic Assistant (DOA) - An ophthalmic assistant is a person who works with an ophthalmologist to provide patient care by providing many different eye related clinical functions. Ophthalmic assistant help ophthalmologists care for patients by taking patients history performing various vision tests and thus preparing the patient to consult the doctor. They assist the ophthalmologist by providing relevant information on the case, help in diagnosis and in treatment.
