Certification Principles of Remote Sensing (CPRS) - The certificate program focuses on the skills needed to take advantage of the enormous increase in the availability and use of remotely sensed data related to the Earth. This course introduces participants to the basic concepts and operational skills necessary to acquire the most appropriate remote sensing data and extract geo-information from such data. The objective is to create a firm basis for the successful integration of remote sensing in any field of application. In addition, participants can choose three topics of personal interest to deepen their knowledge.The course is useful to novices in the realm of remote sensing, as well as to those experienced in some aspects but lacking a complete overview of the state of the art and/or the conceptual foundation. It is designed for anyone driven by curiosity and wishing to take the first step in becoming a remote sensing expert, or for anyone driven by the need to explore the capabilities and limitations of current remote sensing technology in his or her field of application.
