Bachelor of Library and Information Sciences (BLIS) - Librarianship as a profession provides a variety of employment opportunities. Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS), is an Undergraduate professional Degree Program in India. The course is designed to prepare candidates with adequate knowledge and skill related to the tools and techniques, information handling requires for the profession.

The bachelor degree course requires 1 years of time period in India. It's a full time study program, but candidates can also go for part time learning option.

After the successful completion of Master’s studies candidates can pursu towards higher studies and do Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS), M.Phil, Ph.D. and also take part in Departmental Research and Development Activities.
