B.A Honours Textile Design - India has a rich history of textile design and a strong manufacturing base. The country's traditional handloom sector co-exists with the highly mechanised mill sector and the decentralized powerloom sector. The industry is also receiving global recognition with many international designers now sourcing fabric from India. Designers in the textile industry have a wide range of roles and responsibilities and are frequently required to make design decisions throughout the manufacturing process. Therefore there is a growing need for designers with technical and aesthetic proficiency.
