Within any organization, a Corporate Secretary’s duties include ensuring the integrity of the governance framework, being responsible for the efficient administration of a company, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and implementing decisions made by the Board of Directors.
Officer of a corporation responsible for the official documents of the corporation such as the official seal, records of shares issued, corporate by-laws, and minutes of all board or committee meetings.The standing and importance of a corporate secretary - as official record keeper of the corporation - is usually recognized in each jurisdiction's corporation statutes.
This programme is designed to equip students with knowledge in a number of basic business disciplines. It provides students with skills to function effectively as a company secretary as well as to organise, run, manage,w rite reports on statutory and other company meetings. Upon graduation, students will be able to implement corporate compliance and good governance practices. Students will also be able to acts as the company's custodian of legality and advise the management on matters regarding shareholder and investor relations.
