Class IV Certificate of Competency Examination and after obtaining the same will be eligible for appointment as Junior Engineers on board merchant ships. Candidate will rise to the position of the Chief Engineer within 7 to 8 years on passing required examinations. All candidates are selected by various Shipping Companies at the time of admission.Shipping companies participate in the Interviews for admission, and select their candidates for placement at admission stage itself.
