MCA Department History Of The Department During the year 1999-2000, the Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) course was started in the college after getting permission from the Govt. of Tamil Nadu, approval from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi , and the affiliation from the University of Madras with full intake strength of 30 students. The approval was extended to maximum intake of 60 students, in the year 2002-2003 and thereafter. The college aims to give a high standard of University education to women candidates, in order to make them responsible and useful citizens of the society and thus significantly contribute in the development of our Nation. Objective Of The Course The course aims to train the graduates with latest technical skills required for the IT field. The MCA students are groomed towards orientation of applications. The course prepares the students for high level careers in ever expanding field of information technology. This course conveys the essence and excitement of the modern world of computing. Eligibility For Admission Any under graduate of a recognized university with mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level or at plus two level. Duration The course duration is 3 years consisting of 6 semesters
