Department of Statistics News : UGC-SPONSORED ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHODOLOGY IN STATISTICS CONDUCTED ON 23 rd MARCH 2010 The Department of statistics was started in 1959. There are four faculty members in the Department. They are, The results of B.Sc. Final year, since its inception are excellent and overwhelming. The students of our department has almost continuously bagged university ranks every year, our department has been arranging seminars, Tutorials, Quiz, Guest lecturers, visit to industry Surveys. The Department of Statistics has procured S.P.S.S. Software under CPE – UGC grants. Our alumni have occupied very good positions in the Govt/Private Sector. Department of Statistics have introduced add on course and certificate course.
