Mechanical Engineering Lab comprising of Workshop Lab, Computer Aided Engineering Lab, Mechanical Measurements & Meteorology Lab, Material Testing Lab, Machine Shop Lab, Fluid Machinery Lab , Foundry & Forging Lab , Energy Conversion Lab, Heat & Mass transfer lab, Design Lab, Finite Element & Analysis, Computer Aided Machine Drawing, CIM & Automation Lab. These labs have state-of-the art equipments and modern facilities to enable the students for easy understanding of the experiments. Practical training is given to the students on fitting, welding, material testing facilities using various machines, different operations carried out on major machines used in industry. The computer aided design and drawing labs have adequate computers for all the students to practice. Modeling and analysis of various engineering components is taught to the students using advanced software packages which are currently used in industry. In the CIM and Automation Lab students are taught computer integrated manufacturing software packages which have wide application in automation industry. Assembly drawings of various machine parts are taught in computer aided machine drawing lab. |
