Science & Humanities The Department of Mathematics was started in the year 1993 to inculcate the knowledge of Mathematics and its Applications in Engineering and Technology. The department is gifted with a dedicated team of experienced faculty members The department is proud in producing consistently very good results in the University examinations. It trained the students to get high scores in GRE, G MAT, CAT, GATE, and IEEE to pursue their higher studies and enable them employable in the present Globalised scenario. It also conducted regular remedial classes for the weak students and late bloomers. The department consistently motivated and encouraged the students to participate in the seminars, symposium etc., conducted by Anna University and other Engineering Colleges. The faculty members of the department frequently counsel the students to overcome their adulthood and psychological problems. Moreover the faculty members involved to control ragging and disciplinary activities to built a very good relationship among the students. The Department of Physics was started in the year 1993 to incultate the knowledge of first year BE/BTech students.The department is gifted with a dedicated team of experienced faculty members and a well equipped laboratory. The department is proud of producing consistently very good results in the University examinations.The department has well equipped laboratories and good infrastructure for a better undertaking of the theory as well as laboratory taught to the students. The Department of Chemistry was established in the year of 1994 and is a unique Department of Sriram Engineering College. It has distinguished, dedicated and qualified faculties (Five teaching and two non-teaching including lab instructor) in different areas of General, Applied and Analytical Chemistry. Faculty members are showing keen interest to motivate the students to participate in various aspects like workshop, seminar, conference and symposium and they are presenting papers in conferences / Seminars. Dr.A.Murugesan, Assistant Professor and Head got two Fellow Awards from Research Societies (Indian Council of Chemists [FICC] and International Congress of Chemistry and Environment [FICCE]) and also he published 5 original research papers in Journals and 26 research papers presented in National Conferences. Chemistry Department having safety measures and is situated in eco-friendly nature. Department of Chemistry has well equipped and advanced laboratory equipments for Applied and Analytical Chemistry Research Activities. The department is proud of producing consistently very good results in the Anna University examinations.
