Department of Commerce is one of the Prestegious and Premier Departments of the College having produced lot of Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants and Business Executives. The Department offers Bachelor of Commerce (General) Programme affiliated to the University of Madras. Core Subjects: Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Income Tax Law and Practice, Business Communication, Banking and Finaicial Systems, International Business Other Subjects: Soft Skills, English, Tamil and Sanskrit. Value Added Programmes: The Department is recognised as a Center for offering ICWAI Coaching classes. The Course is provided as a Value Added Programme to the Students of the Department. Tally, which is one of the much needed programme is also offered with the association of the Tally organisations. Other Activities: To Develop the subject knowledge, presentation skills, communication skills and leadership abilities, the association of Commerce Department called C CLUB is meeting every week with a paper presentation, Guest Lecture on the latest topics, Group Discussion, Events like Ad zap and other competitions, which help the students to enrich their skills. Faculties: Faculties are well experienced and qualified members with a thorough knowledge about the subjects. Events: The Department is organising MARGADARSHAN - a Personality Development Seminar in the State Level in which students of all the colleges of the State are participating.
