Located in Kaushalendra Rao Law College is situated in Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh state of India. Established in 1968, it is accredited from UGC, BCI Hostel facility is not available for its students. Additional campus facilities such as AV Lab, Canteen, Library, Cls. Room are also there., S.B.R. College Started as Arts College and in 1948 legal education was introduced in the College as faculty college was established by Mahakaushal Education society M.E.S. & it was run by the said society. To make legal education at par with other professional education, in 1968 the said faculty was transformed to law college. With advent of law college legal education got a big boost. This college was named as M.E.S. Law College as it was governed by M.E.S. Society and latter the name was changes as Kaushalendra Rao Law College. In its nascent stage it was part time evening College., Around 1968 S.B.R. Arts college was taken over by the Government and college shifted to new premises in Jarahabhata. Now Only Law College was left in the old premises. Due to financial difficulties college was runon rented premises till 1983. Renowned advocate Shri M.S.D. Sharma was appointed as first honorary Principal who continued till his death in 1991. After his death senior and famous advocate Shri J.K.Shrivastava took over as Principal in 1998 Part time course was made full time and classes were conducted during day time., Shri Ashok Rao renowned citizen of Bilaspur donated land to College on which the college constructed its own building and it was named as Kaushalendra Rao Law College to honour Late. Kaushalendra Rao who was an Ex Judge High Court of Nagpur. Kaushalendra Rao Law College is contributing leaps & bounds in field of legal education in Bilaspur., Many students have featured in University Merit list and some have even topped the list. Many students have joined judicial services as judge and some are giving their services as dist. & sessions Judge. Many students are placed in top posts in Government service. Presently college has its own building and Shri Satish Tiwari an eminent teacher and academician is the Principal. The college has well qualified teachers to impart legal education., Our Vision, “Learning is creation, not consumption.
