The speciality of Oral Medicine & Radiology was in existence as a common department of “Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine & Radiology” since 1982-2001 under the Headship of Dr. R.M. Mathur (MDS, Periodontics).
In 2001, Dr. R. Pradhan (MDS, Oral Surgery) was given the charge of Head of the department .The Ex-Vice Chancellor of King George Dental University (KGDU) Late Dr. C.P. Govila created the department in 2006.
