The scope of social work practice is remarkably wide. There are certain Tcommon skills and responsibilities that all social workers have that enable them to work with all populations. Social work is both inter disciplinary and trans- disciplinary and therefore believes in curriculum integrated approach.

The main objective is to provide opportunities, knowledge, skills, attitudes and values appropriate to work with individuals, groups, communities and organizations. Social work is a practice profession. The course content incorporates components of practice learning opportunities through professional guidance.

One third of the course credit is apportioned for Field practice. The training facilitates all those desirous of making career in the field of social work.
