Pub Bongsor College, Pacharia was established in 1994 by the conscious and enthusiastic local social workers of seventeen village under Pub Bongsor Mouza in the district of Kamrup, Assam. The college is situated on the north bank of the mighty Brahmaputra, and is about fifteen kms away from Gauhati University, and also the nearest Gauhati University affiliated college from the district head quarter ie Amingaon. Initially, the classes of the college were started at Dadara HS School, and the total administration was shifted to its permanent place in the year 1996. Presently, it has been through the procedure of Post Provincialization as per Assam Venture Educational Institution Provincialization of Services Act, 2011 and Amended, 2012 in respect of Degree Colleges of Assam. Having a good means of transport and communication, the institution of higher education is just three hundred meters away from Guwahati-Singimari-Hajo PWD road and conveniently connected by Pacharia-Singimari PWD Road. The scenic beauty in the midst of agricultural landscape which is free from noise pollution promotes the College for better teaching-learning environment. The College provides the courses in humanities and social sciences.
