Department of Food Science and Nutrition is one of the five departments in the Faculty of Home Science which was established in the year 1973. This Department’s mission is to empower students, coming under the purview of Undergraduate (4 year) and Post-graduate (M.Sc & Ph.D) course curricula in the broad areas of Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Processing and Preservation, Community Nutrition, Institutional Food Service Management and Nutrition Counseling.
