      About Food Craft Institute , Visakhapatnam

      Food Craft Institute – Visakhapatnam is a Technical Institute jointly sponsored by Government of India and Government of Andhra Pradesh and was established vide.G.O.MS.No.318 Labour, Employment, Nutrition and Technical Education (TE. 1) Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, dated 24th December 1983. The Institute is governed by Food Craft Institute (Visakhapatnam) Society, registered under Societies Registration Act (1860). The Institute commenced academic services in the year 1986 under National Council for Hotel Management and Catering technology, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The One and half year Craft Certificate Programs currently offered equip the students with all the required skills and knowledge to effectively discharge supervisory responsibilities in Star category hotels, Airlines, Merchant Navy and Cruise line catering, Industrial catering etc., in addition to preparing them for self employment upon necessary orientation in the organizations.
