      About Sri V S Sivalingam Chettiar Government Degree College, Nellore

      Sri V.S.S.C. Government Degree College, (Co-education) was established in 1981 at Sullurpet of Nellore District. The objective was to cater to the needs of the rural students in higher education of Sullurpet and its environ.
      Sullurpet lies on the Southern Periphery of Nellore District adjoining Tamilnadu. It lies to the west of Sriharikota and Pulicat Lake on National Highway-5. The famous rocket launching station of SDSC - SHAR at Sriharikota Island is situated at a distance of 16 kms. from this town. Sullurpet was once a sleepy village. It is becoming thriving urban centre because of its proximity to SDSC - SHAR at Sriharikota and coming up of three Special Economic Zones (SEZ) at the near by Tada, Naidupet and Chillakur regions.
