      About N T R Govt Degree College, Vayalpad

      N.T.R. Govt Degree College is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the western region of Chittoor District. The college was established in August 1988 with the blessings of Dr. N.T. Rama Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the efforts of the Ex – M.L.A., C. Ramachandra Redddy garu. In memory of late Dr.N.T.Rama Rao, the college is named after him as N.T.R. Govt. Degree College, Valmikipuram (Vayalpad) in the year 2001.Since its inception the institution has been growing from strength to strength as the years rolled on serving the needs of this area and today it has as many as 660 students on the rolls. The institution was accorded recognition under 2(f) and 12(b) under the UGC act of 1956 in 2008.
