The Sun Institute Of Technology has been established by A.C.P Educational Trust to cater the needs of then rural youth by providing them vocational and technical education. The objective of founders of this institution is to impart technical education, training and skills necessary to make qualified for better prospects and placement. This institute was founded on 26.11.1997 at Sun Nagar, Erachakulam covering an area of 67.5 acres with the recognition of Govt.Tamil Nadu and approval of AICTE. The institution runs with the motto "Service-Upliftment-Nourishment" tomake the acronym of SUN.
Fully qualified, competent and dedicated members are the staff of institution. The institution has well designed R.C.C buildings, well equipped Physics, Chemistry, English Communication, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Laboratories and Mechanical Workshop. We are proud of our very spacious Computer center, which is endowed with 66 nodes and servers. The entire lab is set up with a state of art, interior comfort and higher end configurations. Special coaching will be arranged for high scores and weak students separately. Interaction with industrial houses and factories is a special feature and this helps the wards to gain practical Knowledge and know how of things. This institution will provide the basics, necessary for career development, scope for higher technical studies and also orientation to the students for self-employment. Situated in sylvan surroundings the institution has peaceful atmosphere conductive to studies. Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. Sun Institute Of Technology is committed to provide quality Education and Training in Engineering and Technology to prepare students for life and work equipping them to contribute to the technological, economic and social development of the country. The College pursues excellence in providing training to develop a sense of professional responsibility, social and cultural awareness and set students on the path to leadership.
