COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING

The College of Agricultural Engineering was established in the year 1964 with the objective of catering to the needs of the State of Punjab in the discipline of Agricultural Engineering. The college has excellent training facilities in the field of undergraduate and postgraduate education. during the last three decades of its existence, the College has developed several new technologies which have been adopted by the farmers and entrepreneurs of the State. In addition to imparting the education, the College has also played a leading role in solving the problems of the farmers and industry by undertaking problem-oriented research and speedy technology transfer. In recognition of its outstanding contributions, the college was recognized at the National level through the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Award in 1975. Also the Center of Advanced Studies in Postgraduate Teaching and Research in Agricultural Engineering was established in the College by United Nations Development Program and ICAR in 1974. Recently the Center for Advanced Studies in Agricultural Engineering (Farm Power & Machinery) has been established in the College.College of Agricultural Engineering, also known as CAE Ludhiana, is one of the four constituent colleges of Punjab Agricultural University. The university was established in 1962, while the college came into existence in 1965. Currently, the college offers technical education in various branches of agricultural engineering.
College of Agricultural Engineering Ludhiana is well known for carrying out programs at graduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. In 1977, CAE received the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Award, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the field of agriculture.
