OBD Bachelor in Audiology & Speech Language Pat (BASLP) - Speech-language pathologists and audiologists are health professionals focused on the processes and disorders of speech, language and hearing.Speech-language pathologists work with patients to study the production of speech, mechanisms that influence language skills, and disorders that affect the ability to speak and produce language. Audiologists study the perception of sounds, the physical and psychological characteristics that underlie hearing, and disorders that affect the ability to hear.The speech-language pathology and audiology program in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences provides the foundation for graduate study leading to clinical certification and career opportunities as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist.

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) is an Undergraduate Audiology three-year study programme in India. The course is suitable for those candidates who want to deal with the normal and abnormal aspects of voice, speech and language. The study trained individual in the discipline to diagnosis, Differential Diagnosis and Management of Voice, Speech and Languages Disorders, which include disarticulation Stuttering, Speech and Language problems Associated with Hearing Impairment, Mental Retardation, Cerebral Palsy, Cleft Palate, Autism, Laryngectomy Stroke, Paralysis and Learning Disorder.

The bachelor study is designed to focus on applied medical subjects that prepare the foundation based on clinical discipline like Audiology, Speech and Language pathology, Basic Human Anatomy & Physiology, Acoustics and Electronics, Clinical Work, Childhood Communication Disorders, Voice and Laryngectomy Neuro-Motor Speech Disorder, Rehabilitative Audiology, Paediatric Audiology.

The Bachelor degree program requires 3 years of the time period in India. It’s a Full-Time study program.

Eligibility

The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Education or an Equivalent Examination, for Science stream and additional subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, minimum 50% marks are eligible for pursuing in this program.

Further Studies

After the completion of bachelor, Degree Course One can pursue Research Oriented Work or continued their higher studies, Master in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP).
