Bethuadahari College since its inception has been serving the first generation learners,mostly off-springs of the farmers and landless labourers of a vast rural backdrop. It came into existence with the spontaneous help and support of the rank and file of five development block areas-Krishnagar-II Block, Nakashipara Block, Kaliganj Block, Chapra Block and Palashipara Block. The College never boasts of being a centre of excellence, but it served a huge population by making graduates from it. It values the aspirations of the local people.Time and again, it increased its intake capacity in both general and honours courses without thinking much on infrastructure and manpower. It liberated the women folk from the kitchen and household activities by giving equal chance of higher education with their male counterparts. It emerged as a reliable co-educational college within the vicinity of northern part of Nadia district and southern part of Murshidabad district. The College was initially affiliated to the University of Calcutta and subsequently affiliated to the University of Kalyani. The College got affiliation from the University Grants Commission under section 2f and 12B in the March 21, 1995., In the mean time, our college has been able to introduce NCC and NSS. Many students have got the chance to be the members of NSS and NCC. Introduction of DODL is a cynosure of discussion. The students who are desirous of getting higher education may get admission in the DODL study centre of our college. So we can boast of our college.Infrastructural development is on. The facilities extended to the students are also increasing., Despite several odds, the College has earned the faith of the people and has made considerable progress over the years in terms of students’ strength, numbers of subjects taught and physical expansion.You know that your teachers are the guardians of yours. They are deemed to be nation-builders. Our college has a reservoir of a kind, caring and highly qualified staff.
