Krishnath College, one of the oldest institutions in higher education in West Bengal was founded in 1853 situated in a very soothing atmosphare near to the bank of the Bhagirathi river.With the munificience of Cossimbazar Raj the construction of the building of the college was completed in1869 having a beautiful semi-gothic architectural look with a tower that very often reminds us of the london tower.It is the center of learning after the name of the enlightend Raja Krishnath having a lofty hisatorical excellence.The first meeting of Alumni Association of the college was held on eighth August 1999. Consequently the first Reunion gathering will tentatively be held on the first Sunday of coming February 2000 in the college premises.
