I nter U niversity C onsortium for D epartment of A tomic E energy F acilities (IUC-DAEF) , is an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission helping the university academic community in the utilization of major DAE facilities at Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai (BARC)), Center for Advanced Technology, Indore (CAT), Variable Energy Cyclotron Center, Calcutta (VECC) , Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar (IOP) , Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai (TIFR) . The Calcutta Center is primarily devoted to research in different aspects of experimental and theoretical nuclear physics and applications of nuclear techniques in condensed matter physics, chemistry and biosciences.
