The mission of Dinabandhu Andrews College is aimed at shaping tomorrow’s successful leaders in the field of Higher Education with sound technical, human and conceptual skills required at various levels of advancement of knowledge in a global perspective. The mission of Dinabandhu Andrews College is to impart higher education leading to a holistic personality of its stakeholders. Students, here in Dinabandhu Andrews College, are the heart and soul of the institution. They simply provide the reason for the institution’s existence in the proper sense of the term. Dinabandhu Andrews College aims to inculcate in students a constant thirst for learning through a combination of academic rigor, updated curriculum, passionate knowledge delivery, interactive dialogue and discussion and application orientation. Along with academic excellence, learners in Dinabandhu Andrews College are continuously sensitized to the concern of the society we live in and encouraged to take on the challenges of the contemporary society with patience, love, dedication and fervor.

The coordination between the members of teaching and non-teaching staff, students, guardians, social workers, people’s representatives and general citizens has reached a height that makes other institutions of its kind envious. We have built up a work-force which is certainly and essentially based on team-work where commitments and responsibilities are shared appropriately for a single cause of continuously upgrading the holistic approach of advancement of learning. We look forward for a brighter India by our continuous effort of improving the mental developmental process.

The college library is accommodated in a spacious area on the ground floor. It is well furnished and equipped with a rich collection of twenty one thousand books on different subjects. The Library sub-committee looks after its proper Seminar Libraries attached to and run by every Advanced Department under the direct guidance of the teachers concerned. The collection of books comprises both text and reference books and some journals.

The Reading Room can accommodate some seventy five students at a time. The morning section of the College has separate Library which is looked after and run efficiently both by library staff and students of that section. The most striking feature of the Morning Section Library is that the students themselves voluntarily donate their Library Caution Money deposits towards annual purchase of books. There is also ample provision for daily issue of books which students can avail themselves of studying in the Reading Room annexed to the main Library. The library functions on all working days except Saturdays. The college has an N.C.C. Unit under 39, Bengal Battalion N.C.C. usually under the charge of an earned, a lot of reputation in the country. The painter's forum set up at the initiative of the students provides opportunity to those seeking self-expression through painting. This has come to occupy an important place in cultural life of the institution. Established a few years back the Science Club of the College under the direct guidance of the teachers seeks to develop scientific outlook among the students through symposium, talks and demonstrations. Eminent scientists, scholars and teachers of the country are invited to address the students to create among them interest in the latest developments in the field of science and technology.Elaborate arrangements exist for both indoor and outdoor games and sports. The institution being a co-educational one, there is a separate Girls' Common Room equipped with all facilities of indoor games. The Annual Sports events are held every year in the college at which a large number of teachers, non-teaching staff and students participate, thereby fostering the spirit of corporate living. Football, Cricket, Table-tennis and Caram are some of the most popular games encouraged among the students. The College participates in most of the games, sports and tournaments conducted by the University. An important feature of the college is that every year non-teaching staff members organize a cultural programme when they felicitate both the teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college on their retirement.
