The college caters to the higher education needs of students from various tea gardens like Chong Tong, Marybong and other rural villages that line across the valleys of the Darjeeling hills. The college presently offers three year undergraduate courses on Bachelor of Arts BA General in the subjects of Economics, History, English, Nepali and Political Science. There are plans to introduce Honours and other vocational courses very soon.
