      About Pandit Raghunath Murmu Smriti Mahavidyalaya, Bankura

      Pandit Raghunath Murmu Smriti Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1986 as undergraduate college with six pass courses affiliated to The University of Burdwan. The college came into existence on a land donated by the local people to cater to the needs of the students in three blocks viz. Sarenga, Simlapal and Raipur, with an aim to disseminate higher education to a large number of rural students, a substantial number of which belongs to scheduled tribe, scheduled caste and other disadvantaged and marginalized section of the society. It obtained UGC recognition under section 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC act on 2-1-1992.
