An Ideal place for the Engineering Idols…, Vision, Elegibility Criteria, Students qualified in WBJEE JEM / AIEEE (Admission in 1st Year – 1st Semester), Eligibility for Admission in 4 years b. tech course, 1.1 Age Restriction for all candidates:, For Engineering, Candidates must be at least 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31.12.2014. There is no upper age limit., 1.2 Academic Requirements for all candidates:, 1.2a: For Engineering/Technology courses (other than Marine Engineering and colleges other than Jadavpur University), Candidates must pass Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination from recognized counsil or board with:, 1. Individual pass marks in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/a Technical Vocational Subject (Engineering Drawing / Computer Science), 2.Minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects taken together (40% for SC/ST/PwD/OBC candidates) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of candidates) in the said qualifying examination.Eligibility for Admission in 3 years b. tech lateral entry, Facilities, Campus, The IIE campus is located in Kalyani, opposite of Kalyani Shilpanchal station. The Kalyani main station is 2-3 minutes distance by train and 5 minutes distance by bus from the campus. The campus provides a tranquil surrounding with lush greenery in front of the building which offers an aesthetically pleasing and serene atmosphere on one hand and intellectually stimulating environment on the other., Computational Facilities, A Central Computer Centre is exclusively available to the students for net surfing and online study. Besides, all graduate degree awarding departments have its own project laboratories for undertaking project and development works. All the computers are Wi-Fi connected for 24 hours. All students are provided with unique email id for having anytime access to institute related information., Library, Library is a treasure house of knowledge. A well stocked library is an asset to the college. IIE is proud of its library. The total area of the library is approx 457 sq. feet. with separated reading and lending sections. It contains more than 5923 volumes of books covering over 690 titles. It also contains magazines, national & international journals and newsletters from different organizations. It is subscribed to J-GATE (Electronic Gateway to Global E-Journal Literature) which provides seamless access to millions of journal articles available online. Here digital library is also available., Sports And Games, IIE has its own large sports ground at which all types of sports meet are conducted annually. The massive, lush green even surface is the venue where many epic events of climaxes and anti-climaxes have occurred providing true thrill to the spectators. IIE blesses competitive promising participants with scholarships. A common rule equipped with major indoor game facilities like Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess are available., Games have great & significant value in student’s life. In the field of sports a student learn etiquettes, manners, positive attitude and also the capacity to face victory & defeat in a good spirit. This spirit gives an impartial and unbiased outlook in-front of all others. The college encourages both outdoor & indoor games. These include football, cricket, table tennis, carom etc. Annual sports, football and cricket tournament are held every year., Cafeteria, The Institute has an excellent cafeteria with a seating capacity for more than 100 persons. It has a well-planned hygienic kitchen run by a reputed caterer at administered prices. Multi-cuisine lunch and snacks are being served in the cafeteria. A fast food restaurant-cum-convenience store is also there., Hostel, Separate boarding and lodging facilities are available separately for outstation boys and girls. IIE’s hostels provide a wide range of facilities to ensure that students enjoy a vibrant campus life, while simultaneously accommodating a large number of students. A total of three hostel buildings are present for male students, one for each year. There are one girls’ hostels. Each hostel is well maintained with staff working overtime to ensure that students live comfortably inside the building premises.
