Department of Architecture

The Department of Architecture was established in the year 2013 in VSSUT, Burla. It aims to produce highest quality architects and planners for the industry, R&D organizations and academic institutions. The Department, having well qualified faculty has been imparting quality education to the B. Arch students by reviewing its curriculum time to time with continuous effort to provide its students proper facilities.

Presently, the department is offering a five-year undergraduate B. Arch course with an emphasis on professional training. The department has a very cognitive work environment where innovation is encouraged. Emphasis is placed on student teacher interaction to create an excellent learning environment. The department activities emphasize deep understanding of the fundamental principles, development of creative ability to handle the challenges of Architecture in and outside field.

The department also encourages its students to engage in extra and co-curricular activities, essential for nurturing of team spirit, leadership qualities and developing organization and management skills.

The Architecture Department will excel in undergraduate and graduate Instruction in research in all sub areas of Architecture and in service to this society in consistent with the vision of the university. The Department will make significant contributions to the economic development of the state, region and nation, thus improving the quality of life.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Architecture is to provide quality education to prepare naturally competitive undergraduate students for a successful career in Architecture to provide natural skills and knowledge in state of art, research and design in subareas of Architecture for graduate students and to provide service to the university, engineering profession and the society.
