Bachelor of Business Administration

Bachelor of Business Administration is also a three-year degree course, affiliated to HNB Garhwal University. 'Management' is one of the most preferred careers today. Getting into it early only makes your chances of succeeding better.

ADMISSION PROCESS:

The total number of seats has been divided into three categories:

General -50% of total seats

Self financed -35% of total seats

NRI sponsored -15% of total seats

Admission to the BBA program at IMS for General as well as the Self financed seats shall take place through the combined entrance test to be conducted by HNB Garhwal University. The application forms fro the test can be obtained in cash for Rs. 300 from Institute reception at IMS, Dehra Dun or through post by sending a demand draft for Rs. 325 in favor of 'Finance Officer, HNB Garwhal University', to the Coordinator, (ET), HNB Garwhal University, Srinagar (Garhwal). They can also be obtained from the University Main Office (Srinagar), and sub-office, Near Bindal Bridge, DehraDun.

Bachelor of Computer Applications Bachelor of Computer Applications is three-year degree courses, affiliated to HNB Garhwal University. The IT industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Even in our country, newer policies reflect this global trend and we are witnessing an extremely fast growth rate in this sector. A natural corollary has been the increased demand for trained IT professionals. People who are not just trained operators or programmers, but professionals who are able to utilize the power of the 'chip' to extract maximum productivity and profits for any organization. As a management tool, computers have now become indispensable. In this scenario, the BCA courses has been designed, with equal focus on computing principle as well as management laws, to cater to the exact needs of the industry.

Admission Process

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The Master of Business Administration is two-year degree course, affiliated to HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar. This course has also been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, Min. of HRD, and Govt. of India), the governing and regulating body for all technical education. IMS Dehra Dun was infact the first Institution in this part of western Uttar Pradesh to be given permission for this postgraduate DEGREE program. Major organizations in the public and private sector are now allocating the highest priority to the selection, recruitment and development of high quality mangers. Internal competition, ever-rapid technological changes and the need to provide products and services for world markets call for managers with considerable intellectual skills.

Master of Information Technology

The MIT curriculum is the latest addition to the IMS portfolio. The affiliation to HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar is under process and is due shortly. On affiliation, IMS would become of the few institutions in this part of the state to offer postgraduate degrees in Information Technology. At IMS, you will find high quality, friendly supervision with excellent laboratory, Computer and Library facilities. You will be a part of a large group of postgraduate students working in a lively and stimulating environment, which places an emphasis on learning and innovation thinking.

Admission Process: Admission to the MIT program at IMS shall take place through a combined entrance test, which will be conducted by the HNB Garhwal University, some time in the month of June. The advertisements to this Effect shall be released in all major newspapers. For any further details or information please feel free to call up the admissions co-coordinator at IMS on any working day.

Selection procedure: A merit is would be formed on the basis of combined performance in the entrance test, group discussion and the personal Interview. Candidates to be called for group discussion and personal interview are short listed on the basis of performance in written test. The finally short listed candidates are then taken through a 'counselling session' and given their choice of Institute and Category (Fee / Payment) on the basis of their position in the final merit list. Please Note: Candidates seeking admission to IMS Dehra Dun, MUST indicate this choice in the application form as well as during then 'counseling session' Admission under the NRI / NRI sponsored category is done on the basis of a Personal Interview, by IMS. Admission Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA program must possess a graduate degree from any recognized University. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in 2000 or those who are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply. Their candidature, however, shall be subject to their clearing the qualifying examination.

Candidates seeking admission in Master of Information Technology The candidates must have passed one of the following Bachelor Degree programs from a recognized University with at least 50% marks. a. B.A. / B.Sc. / B. Appl. Sc. (Hons) in physics / Mathematics / Statistics / Operations Research / Computer Science / Electronics / Instrumentation / Information Technology. b. B.A. / B.Sc. (three subject scheme) with Math's as one of the subjects. c. B.C.A. d. B.E. / B. Tech., Computer Science / Information Technology / Electrical / Electronics and Communication. The candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to appear in the test subject to their passing the examinations with required percentage of marks.

Candidates seeking admission to the BBA course must pass 10+2 from any recognised board.

Candidates seeking admission to the BCA course must pass 10+2 with Mathematics from any recognised board.
