Located in The premier centre of higher learning was established in 1916 by the unparalleled visionary of the country, Pandit Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya. The University is known for imparting innovative programmes to fulfill the diverse needs of the society. In furtherance of the process it launched the Masters programme in Management in late 60s., During the last 38 years, the Faculty of Management Studies has churned out over 3000 bright and dynamic managers. The alumni of this faculty not only occupy distinctive positions in industries and commerce in India but also in different developing and developed countries of the world. True to its nature of responding to the needs of industries, the Faculty pioneered a new Masters programme in International Business Administration (MIBA) in 1991. The students to MBA/MIBA programmes are admitted through CAT conducted by IIMs. Taking cognizance of its expertise and deep commitment to learning, the Faculty has been identified as one of the five Quality Improvement Programme Centres by the AICTE for developing and updating the teachers of management institutions of the country. The Faculty has been recognized as Host Institution for National Doctoral Fellowship by AICTE. The Allahabad Bank has also created a Chair for the position of Professor in the Faculty in 2004. From academic session 2006-07, the Faculty has launched a new stream of MBA specializing in Agri-Business Administration., Management education started in the University in the year 1968. During the last 40 years, the Faculty of Management Studies has churned out over 3500 bright and dynamic managers who are currently placed at various levels in reputed business organizations globally. Presently the Faculty conducts 3 two year F/T post graduate management programmes viz. Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of International Business Administration (MIBA) and Master of Business Administration Agri. Business besides doctoral programme in Management. The Faculty also conducts Post Graduate Diploma in Management & Insurance (PGDMI)an industry specific employment guaranteed programme for ICICI Prulife sponsored candidates. Besides its regular academic programmes, the Faculty also organizes Executive Development Programmes, Management Development Programmes, National Conferences, Seminars and Workshops for working executives, academicians and researchers. The Faculty has been recognized by the AICTE as one of the Quality Improvement Programme Centers for training and updating the management teachers of AICTE approved B-Schools of the country. The Faculty is also recognized as Host Institution for National Doctoral Fellowship. Faculty got the honour of Special Assistance Programme of DRS Level 1 by the University Grants Commission.
