This Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is designed to develop you as a complete infrastructure management professional with a thorough grounding in general management traits.

Infrastructure is a global market and is the cornerstone of the world economy. Infrastructure needs are huge; provision to large populations across geographies pose significant challenges for various countries, including India. The sector is transforming with a diverse set of innovative and sustainable schemes/projects, the scale of which ranges from micro projects at villages to mega projects spanning across nations. Participating stakeholders such as government authorities, private developers, non-government sector, policy think tanks, domestic, bilateral and multilateral financial institutions, management, technical and legal consulting firms are constantly scouting for capable professional and leadership talent. Going forward, it is expected that these professionals will provide significant business, economic and social value for shaping a much better world.

You will study in detail and imbibe the elements of infrastructure pathway that comprise conceptualization, planning, design & development, investment, government and private finance, delivery mechanisms, procurement & contract management, stakeholder relations, client care, environment management, policies, statutes and regulations. You will be exposed to project life cycle and activities, skills and competencies required at each stage to manage the same. You will learn on how to apply the principles to various sectors such as urban infrastructure (water supply, sewerage and sanitation, solid waste management), transportation (roads, airports, ports, rail, urban transport - bus rapid transport, metro rail systems), energy, oil and gas, telecom, rural infrastructure, tourism, industrial, commercial and social infrastructure. You will also be presented with options to study in depth and specialize in a few sectors during your second year of the course.

The course will provide you with technical, managerial tools to enhance your data management & decision making abilities and understand management processes relating to accounting, finance, marketing, organizational behavior, business law, and computer applications. Business administration is about managing interactions across diverse stakeholder groups in a sustainable manner. You will be exposed to a range of softer skills required, and presented with opportunities to imbibe them through various pedagogical tools.

The course will not only equip you to choose from an exciting bouquet of career options in project management, consulting, policy making, business development, investment , financial analysis, and social sectors, but also develop a potential to improve and shape the built infrastructure fabric of the country.
