The College Maharana Pratap Engineering College is a self-financing engineering institution established in the year 1999 by the Maharana Pratap Education Centre; a Trust registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Presently, the College is located at its temporary site in the campus of Maharana Pratap Higher Secondary School, Sharda Nagar, Kanpur. Even though on a temporary site, the College has its exclusive four-storied building housing the classrooms, computer centre, chemistry laboratory, physics laboratory, drawing hall, and library. The workshop is located in a separate shed on the same campus. The College is already in possession of 30 acres of land at Naranmau, Kanpur which is about 1 kilometer from the Indian Institute of Technology on Grand Trunk Road and hopefully the College will shift to its new campus in about two years.Maharana Pratap Engineering College (MPEC), Kanpur, is committed to the dissemination of high quality technical education, fine moral values and overall personality development of aspiring young mindsWith an inclusion of IT branch this year, we hope to strive for uncharted territories in engineering education and placements in the time to come, with a fervent desire to excel amongst technical institutions at the state and the national level. We offer an array of degree programs which are fully accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, AICTE.
