Govt Degree College, Samthar, Jhansi is an eminent seat of learning in the remotest part of Jhansi city. It was established in 1996 by the sincere efforts of Maharaj Samthar. It is affiliated to Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. It provides the degree of Bachelor of Arts to the students. It offers education in seven subjects - Hindi, English, Sociology, History, Political Science, Economics and Physical education. The college has facilities of Wifi, E- Library, Common room, Sports, Library and scholarships. It organizes co- curricular and extension activities from time to time throughout the year. The teaching staff is actively engaged in research activities. Constant efforts are being made to run B.Sc(agriculture) in the college. The process for NAAC accredition is also going on.
