Banshidhar Mahavidyalaya is a self financed educational institution established in 2004. The College has been established by reputed educationists under the aegis of a Charitable Socitety registered in 2001under the Societies Registration Act 'Shri Banshidhar Agarwal Memorial Sansthan'. The society has setup the college to facilitate the students of the local area in higher education. The Founder and Secretary of the college Shri Umesh Chandra Agarwal (M.Sc., Botany) is a well known educationist. He has 34 years extensive experience in the field of education. He taught Life Sciences from the year 1966 and retired as Vice Principal of a college in Auraiya. His deep commitment to the education motivated him to set up this college in the backward region of Bundelkhand. His extensive experience helped in making the college one of the best leading lights of the educational arena of this area. The College is affiliated to Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. Bundelkhand University, Jhansi & recognised by NCTE is an affiliating and teaching university that aims to facilitate and promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education in the various disciplines. Establishment of this college has fulfilled his cherished dream of contributing to quality education for the betterment of the people living in this area.
