Our college has risen to its present status of the Post graduate college starting as Junior High School in Jan 1952 with a handsome initial donation of Rs 25000/- from late Sri Devendra Mani Dwivedi. The college got the affiliation with Agra University and B.Sc. I classes were started from July 1959 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects. B.Sc. (Biology) and B.Sc. (Ag.) classes were started from July 1960. Since July 1967 this college is affiliated with C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur. Post graduate classes in Mathematics and Zoology were started from 1971-72. College started its diversification by opening B.Com. In 1973-74 and M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture in the year 1984-85. For meeting the contemporary education requirements, the college started one year Post graduate Diploma in computer application in the year 1992-93. Post graduate classes in Commerce and Physics were started from 1993-94. Industrial Chemistry classes at graduation level were started in the year 1998. M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) and M.Sc. (Microbiology) classes were started from 2001. B.Sc. (Computer Application) and B.Sc. (Biotechnology) classes were started from the session 2002-03. Post- graduate classes of Biotechnology opened in the year 2003-04 to equip our students with latest knowledge and developments in the field of Bio-technology., Our Vision, We at Janta College, Bakewar will impart futuristic education and instill high patterns of discipline through our dedicated staff, who shall set global standards, making our students academically superior and ethically strong, who in turn shall improve the quality of life of the human race., Our Mission, Our mission is to educate students from all over India, including from local and rural areas, so that they become enlightened individuals, improving the living standards of their families, industry and society.
