Initially, the same college, starting with three classes, is today known as Goswami Tulsidas Government Postgraduate College Karvi Chitrakoot., The founding of this college was organized by the struggling learned citizens of Chitrakoot. Later, it became a pride of state college. On 9 November 1979, the local Chitrakoot Dham Degree College Establishment Committee provided 3.237 hectares of land and beneficiary funds to the Uttar Pradesh government through a donation letter. Initially, the same college, starting with three classes, is today known as Goswami Tulsidas Government Postgraduate College Karvi. Initially, its foundation was laid on Rajapur Road. Later, according to public sentiments, it was established on the Allahabad-Jhansi road. The Chitrakootdham Degree College, which started in three small cells, was named Goswami Tulsidas Government College, Karvy, as per Raja No 2242 / 12-12 (2012-13) / 88 dated 11 June 1988.
