VISION

To create a multi-cultural and inter-disciplinary team of researchers and Post-Graduate students that focuses on exploration of opportunities in microbiology and plant biology

MISSION

To provide the life science community with technically skilled human resources, environment-friendly products and practices and lab to land practices to popularize scientific methods

GOALS

• To establish well equipped and self-sustaining under graduate and post graduate microbiology laboratories in the next two years
• To establish state-of-the-art research lab through project funding in the next three years

• To be recognized as centre for high quality microbiology teaching by initiating new skill development programmes in collaboration with other institutes and industry in the next four years

• To establish a one-of-its-kind meta proteomic reference centre for endophytic microbes in the next five years

• To have several international collaborations with institutes and universities of repute

• To register patents and intellectual property

• To establish a centre for high performance meta-analysis of microbes with favourable traits

• To publish a research journal on vegetative desiccation tolerance and fungal physiology
• To have separate building dedicated to high throughput microbiology and plant biology research and teaching programmes

• To start a business incubator facility which will exclusively market the IP generated through research
