SPMK was established in 1981 by SPVS, a non-profit educational society, with a vision and noble objective of providing higher education at economic cost for women in the backward segment of Hyderabad city. The main objective of the institution is to promote quality education among women coming from the backward region. 60% of the seats at the UGC level are reserved for the students coming from rural areas, backward and minority communities. Several innovative programmes are offered periodically through: Value added add-on career oriented courses. Highly qualified and committed faculty. College is located in a pollution free congenial enviornment functioning in own building with good infrastructure. This is an UGC grants aided institution affiliated to OU, Hyderabad, AP. The college has spacious classrooms, an audio-visual lab, fully equipped computer lab and a special auditorium. The foundation stone for the college was laid down by Late Sri Anjaiah.
