Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute Of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 1997 by Dr G.Ganga Raju, in the fond memory of his father Late Sri Gokaraju Rangaraju, a crusader in the field of education in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh , India. A great philanthropist, Sri G.Rangaraju, during his life time held many prestigious positions; the founder President of S R K R Engineering College, Bhimavaram for a period of 15 years; President of DNR College, Bhimavaram for 20 years; the Chairman, Board of Trustees, TTD and the Member of A.P Legislative Assembly.

Dr G. Ganga Raju, the Founder is a great philanthropist, educationist & Chairman, Laila Group of Industries having interest in paper, pharmaceuticals, software, agro Industries and exports. He is also one of the founders of Alluri Sitarama Raju Medical College, Eluru, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute Of Engineering & Technology (GRIET) is one of the premier engineering colleges imparting quality technical education to the students drawn from a competitive examination EAMCET conducted by the Technical Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, India. GRIET is attracting students with high EAMCET ranks, progressively, and is making a niche for itself in adopting innovative teaching methods to suit changing technological trends. The College aims to provide quality education in emerging fields of engineering employing latest corporate practices.
