Andhra Vidyalaya College is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad
The College was established in 1968 as a multi-faculty college by the Andhra Vidyalaya Education Society, which is one of the oldest educational societies in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The college owes its existence to the initiative and efforts of Sri K V Ranga Reddy and Sri J V Narsing Rao, both former Deputy Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh. Over the last few years it has grown from strength to strength, emerging as one of the premier institutions of the state, and now has the distinction of having the largest number of Ph Ds in the faculty. The college is dedicated to the total and balanced development of each individual student.
