SCAD Polytechnic College was founded by the SCAD Group to impart quality technical education to the young minds in the region. The college strives to impart quality engineering education as well as practical skills. It is the objective of the college to inculcate in every student a sense of responsibility towards the society and respect for human life, besides developing in them the highest standards of professional behaviour and personal integrity.

Prior to assuming his office as Principal of SCAD Polytechnic College, Mr. Monimaran has about 19 years of teaching experience at S.A. Raja's Polytechnic College and later Morning Star Polytechnic College where he rose to the position of a Head of Department.

During his career, Mr. Monimaran has participated in over a dozen conferences and national level workshops to contribute to the field of engineering education. He is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and is a life time member as MIE of the Institution of Engineering.
