Tagore College of Education was founded by the generous and noble hearted philanthropists of the Southern Educational And Rural Development Society in the year 1986 with a strong intention of promoting rich education in the tender minds of the rural pupils. It is located at Deviyakurichi, 15 kms from Attur in the eastern direction on the Cuddalore main road.

Tagore College of Education founded at Deviyakurichi has grown as a mini Shantiniketan. The Philanthropists of this institution will endeavor to spread the spirit of Tagores rich ideals through the tender ones brought under their guidance.

The College is affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University – Chennai-5 from the year 2008-2009 onwards. Tagore College of Education has got the provisional approval from NCTE Bangalore and NOC from the Tamilnadu State Government.

Specialties of our College

We have a set of well-qualified academicians for teaching in all levels. We have well furnished ventilated classrooms and properly maintained advanced laboratories to meet the Science Practical Classes. Our college and hostel lavatory is modernized and neatly maintained. Our college has a budding library and it helps the pupils to develop their intensive reading skill.

Our college emblem indicates that the massive education should mould the children with the base of the three words Unity, Love, Peace.We have a set of well-qualified Lecturers as per the NCTE norms for teaching in all the subjects. We have well furnished ventilated class rooms and properly maintained advanced laboratories to meet the practicals of Psychology and Science subjects.
