Sri Muthalamman polytechnic college, Paramakudi a self – financing institution, founded by Sri Muthalamman Educational and charitable trust. The trustees are well known jewel business entrepreneurs. They saw education as the only bridge that can connect rural and urban India. (Established in 1997, approved by Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Offers five diploma programmes in engineering.) With the aim of bringing quality Technical Education to the rural and downtrodden youth of Ramanathapuram District, they established this college with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering & Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 1997 with an intake of 120 in first year. The college is now offering Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE and Computer Engineering with an intake of 390 in first year. The Management has taken all efforts to provide upto date infrastructure facilities to enable the student to get the best possible training.Sri Muthalamman Polytechnic College is committed to provide quality education to the students enabling them to excel in the field of Engineering to the changing and challenging needs of society and industry.
