The Munificent Mohamed Sathak Trust is a charitable body established in the year 1973 by the Philanthropic Chairman Mohamed Sathak Family. With this noble aim the Trust first started the Mohamed Sathak Polytechnic in the year 1980 at Kilakarai. Marhum Alhaj Ahamed Jalaludeen, the eldest brother in the family was the Founder. Encouraged and Enthused by the success of this venture another technological institution of Higher Learning Mohamed Sathak Engineering College was started in October 1984. The Engineering College unlike other colleges offers apart from all other branches of study, branches like Marine Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering courses. The students have brought laurels to the institution by securing ranks and international recognition by getting VINCENT BENDIX AWARD of USA. The college is approved by AICTE.
