Institute of Tool Engineering, Dindigul is a Tamilnadu Government Institution started in the year 1962.Formerly the Institution was known as �Tool & Die Designing Training centre�. This institution is functioning under the administrative control of Department of Industries and Commerce,Government of Tamilnadu

This institution is located near SIDCO Industrial Estate in S.R.Mills Road and is about One and half km from the Dindigul bus stand and It is half km from the Dindigul Railway Station.

This institution is functioning with the main objective of training students in the field of Tool Engineering and caters to the needs of the tool rooms in the engineering industries all over the world.

The specialty of this Institution is more focus on practical training through well equipped laboratories and workshops. As a result of this, the students are well trained in the basic aspects tool design/making/maintenance and hence the students opting for placement are placed through campus interview every year .The alumni of our Institution has brought laurels to this Institution by providing their skills and discipline in their profession.
